Why TR6 /Oldtimer

Because it makes sense……

For more than 20 years, I only had motorcycles - here specifically the Suzuki TL1000R - in my head
In autumn 2015, after watching my onboard video of the Stelvio Pass and other passes, I realized that it would end up unhealthy for me and everyone involved if I continued to ride motorcycles…

In the meantime, I had landed on something really nice:

A Uno 1000S

When I was done with the conversions, it had >150hp, >120Nm but <170kg 8-) and the whole thing with a chassis that is second to none… The fastest lighter there is on passes…

And after 3 days in the Dolomites and 32 passes later, I realized: The thing has to go!

Well…and then I searched Mobile.de for a 2-seater convertible built before 1975 with >130PS….Nix from Germany or the USA… And you quickly end up with the TR6 PI with overdrive for 12,000 if you sort by “price ascending”….

And after the TR6 was technically brought back into shape, the next step came: body work…

That's how I ended up with the GT6+ / MK II, which grinned at me on Mobile.de… It didn't look too bad at first, but that quickly turned out to be a misjudgement…

I then took a Spitfire 1500 “in between” as an intermediate step and as a DailyDriver I've now come across two MX-5 NAs…
